Bloody Mule Cocktail Recipe

Vodka and ginger beer—typically known as a Moscow Mule—is a drink to be reckoned with. Especially when using a strong ginger beer, such as Reeds or Fever Tree, the results are both bracing and beguiling, without being so strong that you need to sit down after.

We elected to punch that classic up with a touch of crème de cassis, to give it a dark berry flavor and a very spooky, slightly bloody look, especially when the cassis is just poured. You can mix the vodka and ginger beer ahead of time, but we recommend pouring in the crème de cassis just before serving for maximum effect.
